The Rose is an ancient plant consciousness and she teaches us the subtle art of healing, of slowing down. The path of the Rose is a slow path of deep contemplation, of stillness, of listening, of patience, of embodiment.
By doing our own inner work, we not only change our own patterning, but also the patterning of creation.
Each Rose is an archetype and each archetype holds a mantra. The mantra of the white rose is “I illuminate peace in the darkness” and it’s about experiencing luminosity and shadow all at once.
By courageously doing our own shadow work, however that shows up for us, we illuminate peace in the darkness, for everyone.
What are the ways we illuminate peace in the darkness?
Moving through our shadows
Shadow work is light work.
“It all begins in the darkness, not within the light. The soft womb, the mineral depths of the earth, the beauty of egg, the alchemy of cocoon & the quiet of winter. Animals, plants, trees & people need silence, alone time & darkness to form, shape & know their very essence. Tasting & feeling their own becoming, before unfurling into the light.”
~ Brigit Anna McNeill
By moving through our pain, unease and agitation, actually allowing its wisdom to show us more about ourselves, we awaken.
De-conditioning and de-colonising our minds
What if what you know as truth, is not…?
What if there is a totality different story to everything?
What if what you believe in, what you were growing up with, is a story to keep you in a box, subdued, limited, small…
What if we’ve all been brainwashed, conditioned, colonised to remove us from our inner power and wisdom?
What if our connection to Spirit and Nature is the answer?
By beginning to ask ourselves these ‘what if’ questions, we begin to unravel the conditioning, the colonising, the brainwashing that we are all subjected to.
I’m sorry to be so blunt about it, but we have all been conditioned, brainwashed and colonised, and it’s our most sacred and important work to do the work of de-colonising and de-conditioning our minds.
Using our voice for what is right
We see the injustice in the world, yet we hold our tongue because ‘we need to keep the peace…’
I can speak to this, because I’ve been SO VERY afraid of using my voice to ruffle feathers and drop truth bombs and speak on topics that make many uncomfortable.
But it’s actually doing more harm than good if we keep quiet. It starts not only an internal war, but you’re also denying your piece of the truth-puzzle to not be heard.
Sharing our gifts and medicine with the world
The world needs the puzzle piece that is YOU.
We all came here with something to bring to others, be it our art, our presence, our voice and words, our natural gifts and abilities, our hands, or our energy…
Just by BEing you, you make this world a better place.
Witnessing and having compassion
Stop turning a blind eye to the things that make you uncomfortable.
Witness, and have compassion.
This means to actually look and see, and to feel into the pain others are experiencing, in an empathetic way.
“Compassion is fueled by understanding and accepting that we’re all made of strength and struggle – no one is immune to pain or suffering. Compassion is not a practice of ‘better than’ or ‘I can fix you’ – it’s a practice based in the beauty and pain of shared humanity.”
“Empathy is a tool of compassion. We can respond empathetically only if we are willing to be present with someone else’s pain. If we’re not willing to do that, it’s not real empathy.”
~ Brené Brown
Being authentic expressions of our truth
This last point somehow summarise all the previous points.
When we move through our shadows, and de-condition our minds we start to courageously use our voices, gifts and medicine more and more. This then allows us to witness with a deeper compassion.
We are here to be authentic expressions of our true selves, our energetics, our natural power and talents, because by living these expressions, we bring light into the darkness, we illuminate peace in the darkness.
And this is what will eventually bring peace on earth. It has to start with us.
