I have a gift in seeing patterns. This gift brings me many clients stuck in loops of repeating patterns that have been holding them for years.

My own journey has been about re-patterning the cycles that are keeping me in resistance, victimhood, hurt, numbness, pain, frustration, and stress… And why I do what I do.

The only way to change this, is putting in the energy to re-pattern the pattern.

First you have to become aware of exactly what the pattern is by looking at what you experience on a consistent level – anxiety, bitterness, frustration, feeling stuck, playing the victim, stress, repeated life experiences.

Then from that awareness, tapping into what’s underneath the emotions and feelings and where it sits in your body (feeling into the felt sense and also your energetic blueprint).

By becoming aware, the re-patterning has already started.

From here the hard part is actually over, because our unconscious unwillingness to see our patterns, and our unconscious resistance towards changing our own patterns are the part that is causing you to feel like you can’t change anything.

Witnessing our shadows for what they are – portals into transformation, is the healing itself.

And that’s the power of my work with your energetic blueprint, shadow alchemy and intuitive develepment. It not only actually shifts the repeating patterns but supports you in the journey of unraveling into your true essence and power.

Read on for a guide into breaking cycles and creating lasting change.

Re-patterning the pattern

We’ve all been there – finding ourselves stuck in the same relationship dynamics, repeating old habits, or facing the same challenges over and over again. These repeating patterns can feel frustrating, even hopeless at times. But what if these cycles are not here to punish us, but to teach us? We can re-pattern repeating pattern – by bringing them into awareness, interrupting the cycle, and consciously choosing a new way forward.

What are repeating patterns and why do they happen?

Repeating patterns show up as recurring experiences, emotions and feelings or behaviours in our lives. Maybe you keep attracting similar relationships, fall into the same money struggles, or respond to conflict in the same ways.

These repeated patterns come from:

Subconscious conditioning – beliefs and coping mechanisms we learned in early childhood.

Trauma loops – unresolved experiences that the nervous system continues to play out.

Generational influences – inherited family dynamics and collective imprints.

These patterns aren’t random – it’s the subconscious mind’s way of seeking safety or comfort, even if that “comfort” is painful.

Why it’s so hard to break repeating patterns?

If you’ve ever tried to break free from a cycle only to find yourself right back in it, you’re not alone. Here’s why it’s so difficult:

Our ego and mind love familiarity and comfort – Neurologically, our mind prefers known pathways, even if they’re destructive and not serving us.

Emotional triggers – Repeated patterns get reinforced when unresolved emotional triggers keep pulling us back into the same responses and reactions.

Fear of change – On a deep level, we all carry a fear to change, because the unknown can feel more ‘threatening’ than the familiar discomfort.

Knowing all of this can help us to approach ourselves with compassion – change is not about ‘having the willpower’ alone, but also about gently re-training our mind, body, and heart. It’s about allowing ourselves to be a human being with feelings, about being truthful with ourselves, and then taking small steps towards changing the patterns that are holding us.

The process of re-patterning

Breaking cycles isn’t something that happens quickly – it’s a journey of awareness, healing, and conscious choice. Here’s a framework you can begin working with:

Awareness and Observation

Start by noticing a pattern without judgement. Journaling, mindfulness, or simply reflecting on recurring experiences can reveal what’s looping in your life. Awareness is always the first step.

Identifying the Root Cause

Ask yourself: Where did this begin? Often, patterns are rooted in childhood experiences or protective mechanisms we learned along the way. Inner child work, shadow work, therapy, or coaching can help uncover the deeper ‘why’ behind cycles we’re repeating.

Don’t underestimate your intuition here… Often when we start asking ourselves questions like ‘where does this pattern come from?’ your intuition and life will begin to show you – in messages, memories, synchronicities, etc.

Interrupting the Cycle

Once you spot the pattern, you cannot unsee it, and now you can change it. Practices like breathwork, EFT tapping, or grounding exercises when you feel triggered can really support this process. Even pausing for a deep breath creates space between the trigger and the response.

When doing energetic blueprint work you begin to become aware of repeating patterns that have been playing out all your life, but you might not have been aware of yet – although you know there are experiences you’re living over and over and that they’re not serving you. Read this post about a pattern I repeated in my life until I discovered what it was showing me about myself…

Rewriting the Story

Now you’re at a point where you have more power within yourself, so now you can choose a new response. Visualise the version of yourself who acts differently, and practice small aligned steps and choices to do every time a pattern pops up. This rewires your subconscious over time. Meditation can also be very supportive here.

This is also where knowing your energy blueprint and what lies within the shadow patterns – because our shadows are only portals into transformation and higher expression, not burdens and not negative – can be very supportive in writing a new story.

Embodying the New Pattern

Lasting change requires embodiment. Anchor your new ways of being through rituals, movement, breath, or sound. Consistency is key – each repetition strengthens the new neural pathways and change the narrative of the old story.

Ritual practices and embodiment exercises form part of all my mentorship work.

The deeper gift of re-patterning

Re-patterning isn’t just about self-improvement – it’s about liberation. When we break a cycle, we heal not only ourselves but those who came before us and those who will come after us. Our growth and healing ripple outward into our relationships, lineage, community, and even the collective field.

Every time you choose differently, you open the door to freedom, empowerment, and authentic expression.

Repeating patterns are invitations, portals into new places, not punishments. By becoming aware of them, uncovering their roots, and gently choosing new responses, you can re-pattern your life into one of freedom and fulfillment.

Change doesn’t happen all at once – but every conscious choice lays a new foundation. With patience and compassion, you can break the cycle and step into the life you truly dream of and desire.
