Nature is my guide whenever I feel I need guidance, and there is always something to learn from Nature. Here in the Cederberg we are now surrounded by the most beautiful wildflowers, and this is what I received from them while spending a morning between the flowers.

You will bloom when it’s your time to bloom

Every year the flowers that bloom are different, a different colour than the year before, a different type, but they each bloom when it’s their time, it might not be this year, but perhaps next season… and it’s always a surprise and always perfect.

When the time is tight, we will bloom too.

Nourishment allows you to bloom

When there is more rain and nourishment, different flowers come out and bloom.

That’s how we also grow, by giving ourselves the nourishment we need…

You will grow through everything

The wildflowers come up in the most unlikely places, and you would think there is no way they will bloom in some spots where nothing seems to grow.

But they bloom, and so can we, whatever the circumstances.

Your bloom doesn’t affect another’s bloom, in fact, you compliment each other

The wildflowers look amazingly beautiful together all in their uniqueness. All the colours together, all the shapes and sizes and smells, they just make the most beautiful display.

We each came to be a unique puzzle piece in the tapestry of life, and together we form the most beautiful weave…

So this is what the wildflowers taught me today while spending the morning with them.
