I’ve been contemplating a lot the past few weeks. A contemplation that came up for me was ‘where do I belong?’ And even though it’s taken me on a physical level journey of ancestry and land and all of that, it has also shown me that it’s about presence.
Presence
We belong in the present moment. That’s actually all we have. And in that present moment is where we’re creating art.
Art is what we bring this world from within our souls. Our deepest temples and templates that we carry. Art is the expression of our inner truths.
Art is a yearning to take up space, to belong, to make a mark, to mean something, to BE here now, present.
For me, what I do, this business and soul creation, the posts I write on here, the words I share on here, this creation I am busy growing and nurturing and sharing with others, is art.
Art is you. Art is what you share with us while you’re in this world.
Your art creates a deep sense of belonging, to the world, to each other, to ourselves, to each moment in time.
Art is in the rustling of leaves, in the early morning birdsongs, in the rain on the roof, in a simple cup of tea, a laugh with a friend…
That’s also where the magick is…
Art and magick is the same – according to me anyway…
It creates ripples in this world that eventually creates waves and new dimensions, so it’s very VERY needed.
In your art you belong. Because you came here to live from that expression. You came here to be an artist…
It’ll save your soul, and the world needs more of that. Souls that are alive, to eventually save our world.

When I’m ungrounded, feeling different at times, long for places and worlds out of reach,
I sometimes wonder…
Where do I belong?
When I wonder if different choices and different ways would’ve created a different world where I felt
I belong…
Yet at times I feel so truly here and now and my connection to belonging is so real and deep,
that a bird song or a fresh winter morning can bring me into presence and peace…
Then I wonder, maybe we belong nowhere and everywhere,
to nature, to ourselves, to each other, to LIFE!
And that even though I wonder sometimes where I belong, that at this moment in time
I belong here,
in this moment.
