Gene Key 33 is the keeper of memory – it moves from the shadow of Forgetting to the gift of Mindfulness, and ultimately to the siddhi of Revelation.

For revelations to come, we must go within, retreat (it’s also called the gate of retreat); to go into our own private space to find the answers we seek.

This gene key holds deep wisdom, but it asks us to become quiet so we can hear, so we can remember. It’s also the gate of storytelling, the wise woman sharing her wisdom when the time is right.

What have you learned along the way and can now share with others? We can only change the story we don’t want to tell anymore, by starting to tell a new story. By tapping into the wisdom of our inner selves and changing the narrative. This is how revelations come.

This Gene Key is about the alchemy of remembrance. At the shadow level, there is repression, overwhelm, or dissociation from painful or misunderstood experiences. But as you turn inward with gentleness and curiosity, you begin to recover truth, meaning, and wisdom. From that, the gift of mindfulness arises – present awareness of the past without being trapped in it. And at its highest frequency, revelation occurs: an inner unveiling of deep truth; mystical and ancestral.

Gene Key 33 Ritual: From Forgetting → Mindfulness → Revelation

The intention: To lovingly reclaim forgotten or repressed aspects of your past, transform them into conscious wisdom, and open to the higher truth that wants to reveal itself through you.

The ritual structure has three phases:

  • Phase 1: Honoring the Past (Shadow Alchemy)

  • Phase 2: Awakening Mindfulness (Gift Practice)

  • Phase 3: Receiving Revelation (Siddhic Opening)

PHASE 1: Transmuting the Shadow of Forgetting

The shadow can show up as: Forgetting = repression, avoidance, dissociation.

Time to do: Evening, new moon, or during emotional heaviness
Tools you need: Journal, a quiet space, old photos or symbolic objects from your past

1. Create a memory altar:

  • Light a candle and gather 1–3 symbolic objects or images from your past.

  • Place them with intention, then sit in silence, breathing deeply into your heart.

2. Guided memory reclamation:

Ask yourself gently:

  • What am I carrying that I pretend not to remember?

  • What experiences have I gathered along the way that can be medicine for others?
  • What past experience feels unresolved, unclear, or hidden?

  • What would I hear if I truly listened to the past with compassion, not judgement?

Write whatever arises – free of censorship.

3. Healing statement:

Place your hand on your heart and say aloud: “I am allowing myself to remember. I welcome the wisdom behind the pain, behind the forgetting, behind the numbing. My own story is medicine.”

PHASE 2: Practise the Gift of Mindfulness

The gift shows up as: Mindfulness = present witnessing, emotional clarity, non-reactivity, remembrance.

Time to do: Morning or times of emotional activation
Tools you need: Bell or chime (optional), breath, nature, journal

1. Present-moment grounding:

  • Sit quietly. Take 5 mindful breaths.

  • With each inhale, repeat silently: “I am here.”
With each exhale: “I receive this moment.”

2. Observing without story:

  • Let a memory or emotion arise.

  • Instead of interpreting or analysing it, witness it as if it were water flowing.

  • Ask: Can I simply observe this without needing to label it?

3. Writing practise – memoirs of meaning:

Each day, write one sentence starting with:

“I remember…”
“I now see that…”
“This moment showed me…”

This helps cultivate awareness and integration of your gifts.

The next phase working with the siddhi can be done if you feel drawn to do it, but the more we work with the gift frequency, the more we organically and naturally tap into the siddhi frequency and it comes alive for us. So even by just doing phase 2 of the gift activation, we already begin the process of embodying the siddhi.

PHASE 3: Enter the Siddhi of Revelation

Siddhi: Revelation = the light behind the veil, divine remembrance.

Time to do: Twilight, sacred solitude, or after quiet reflection
Tools you need: None needed – space and stillness are enough

1. Silence as portal:

  • Sit in darkness or candlelight.

  • Breathe into the heart. Focus on the space between thoughts, not the thoughts themselves.

  • Ask inwardly: “What truth has always been with me, waiting to be revealed?”

Stay open. You may receive a feeling, a symbol, whisper of a message, or a deep inner stillness.

2. Integration mantra:

“I am the remembering. I am the story, the witness, and the revelation. The truth of myself is needed.”

Optional enhancement of the Gene Key 33 ritual

Crystals: Moonstone (memory & feminine wisdom), lapis lazuli (inner truth), selenite (light of remembrance)

Element: Air – revelation often comes in whispers. Sit with wind, open windows, or breathe deeply.

Human Design connection: Gene Key 33 is gate 33 – The gate of Retreat in the throat centre. It’s the voice of reflective sharing – you retreat to remember, then return to speak the wisdom of the past. It forms a channel with gate 13, and this is the channel of Narrative – a deeply intuitive and transformational energy.

A daily integration process:

Morning Prompt: What wisdom might today be inviting me to remember?

Evening Reflection: What did I witness today without reacting? What truth revealed itself?

“To forget is human.
To remember consciously is divine.
Revelation is not something you seek – it is what you become
when you trust the silence within your own story.”

Why rituals works…

You can literally speak to your DNA. It is photonic, responsive, and reactive to tone, word and resonance. When combined with ritual practices you are moving not only the energy by speaking, but also by doing an action, shifting the energy and telling the universe with intention what you desire to move.

DNA is not just a chemical helix it’s a field antenna. Our DNA responds to sound, emotion, belief, and coherent language. That’s why our bodies always hear what we say and how we speak, and then untimately brings us that reality…

Vibration = Instruction.
Your voice is the key.
Your belief is the voltage.

Ritual practices provide a signal to the body, mind, spirit and the universe to begin the physiological and energetic changes that are part of the ritual practice. Ritualistic techniques initiate these changes, and so it sets in motion something new.

I’m a ceremonial magick ritualist, and over the years I’ve simplified rituals and practices for our every day lives. The Gene Keys form an integral part of my work with clients, and so I’ve begun to create Gene Key ritual practices to move from shadows to gifts and embodying the gift and siddhi frequencies (which is the higher frequencies within our DNA or energetic blueprint).

I’ve seen in myself and my clients that we often get stuck in the shadows, and then we keep on broadcasting that into the universe, so these rituals have been created to re-pattern the pattern, to interrupt the continuous loop of staying stuck and stagnant and actually moving the energy into transformation and the higher frequency.
